Our Techniques

Dr Schutte uses a range of established chiropractic techniques, depending on your individual case. These include:

Applied Kinesiology

Applied Kinesiology uses muscle testing to identify your problem. Treatment includes pressure and stimulation of certain points on the body, somewhat similar to acupressure. Learn more by visiting: www.icak.com

Motion Palpation

We use Motion Palpation to check how well your joints are moving.

Gonstead

Gonstead uses x-rays and motion palpation to analyse the body. The spine and extremities are adjusted by hand, and the neck is adjusted while you sit in a chair

Thompson

Thompson Terminal Point technique uses a specialised table engineered to allow precise adjustments of your spinal joints. The table’s design makes it possible to adjust the spines of even women in the final weeks of pregnancy in comfort and safety.

Activator

The Activator Method® uses a hand-held instrument to deliver precise, gentle adjustments to the joints. It is used particularly on babies and the frail elderly, and is also suitable for others for whom manual adjustments are not comfortable.

SOT

SOT is a gentle technique which induces proper flow of the Cerebro-Spinal Fluid (CSF), which surrounds your brain and spinal nerves. In using SOT, we may place blocks under your pelvis, test your muscles, and work on body organs and the bones of your skull.

Advanced Biomechanical Correction (ABC)

ABC frees adhesions between the spinal cord and the spinal column. Visit www.advbiostructuralcorr.com to learn more.

Neuro-Emotional-Technique (NET)

NET is a combination of chiropractic, reflex points and homeopathy which gently addresses emotional blocks to healing. Learn more by visiting: www.netmindbody.com

Postural Assessment

We take a digital photo of you standing face on and from the side. The photo is then analysed by a software program to determine your stress points.

Custom Made Orthotics

Footlevelers custom-made soft orthotics support all three arches of your foot. Our analysis of your feet begins with a thorough examination and a digital scan of your feet in a weight-bearing position. Learn more at: www.footlevelers.com

If you’ve been to a chiropractor before and have a preference about how you are adjusted, let us know. We want you to relax, enjoy and fully benefit from your adjustments.

Dr Ben Asks some important questions of interest to Turner residents - Chiropractor Turner Dr Ben Asks...

How come medical doctors don't recommend chiropractic?
That's changing. Years of prejudice and bias are giving way to research showing the benefits of chiropractic care. As more and more Turner folks seek alternatives to drugs and surgery, more and more medical practitioners are referring their patients to chiropractors.
What does a chiropractic adjustment do?
Chiropractic adjustments give your spine a little "nudge" at the right place, right time and the right direction so your body can use that energy to "right" itself. With a schedule of consistent chiropractic visits, a new, healthier spinal pattern emerges.
