Canberra Chiropractors FAQ

As Canberra chiropractors, we hear many questions from new and current chiropractic patients. Here are some of the most common questions and answers...

Will it hurt?

Canberra Chiropractors Frequently Asked Questions

In the same way that during the examination on the first visit may bring on some pain, the treatment may do so as well, but less than when we are trying to find the problem in the first place.

Is it safe?

Chiropractic is remarkably safe. Safer than taking aspirin or anti-inflammatory drugs. It is safer than surgery. I recommend you visit chiropracticsafety.com.au for more information, then call our Canberra chiropractic clinic to make an appointment.

Can symptoms get worse?

Sometimes symptoms change, for example sciatica might go from being in the leg only and then move to the thigh. This is a good development. Rest assured that we will monitor any changes very closely. If they are getting worse, the referral to a medical practitioner will be made.

Once I’m better, will I stay that way?

Most people get complete resolution of their problem. However if the causes of the subluxations are not eliminated then the subluxations will return, eventually giving rise to symptoms again.

How often do I need to be checked once the symptoms have gone?

We will increase the time between adjustments as you get better. This will be done slowly so that the return of the problem does not re-occur. As a rule, If you were seen twice per week, then the next scheduling would be for once per week and then to once per fortnight and so on.

If you have been to see other chiropractors in Canberra without results -- give our office a call! We've helped many Canberra families who went from chiropractor to chiropractor and finally found results in our office.
