Introducing Turner Chiropractor, Dr. Ben Schutte

 Dr. Ben Schutte, Chiropractor

After a surfboat injury in high school, Dr. Schutte got such good results from chiropractic care that he set his sights on becoming a chiropractor.
“I was so impressed by the “hands-on” and drug-free approach to pain relief and ongoing maintenance of health that I decided then and there I wanted to be a chiropractor,” says Dr. Schutte.

Dr. Schutte completed an honours science degree at the Australian National University and worked for some time as a laboratory technician before undertaking the five-year chiropractic degree at Phillip Institute of Technology (now RMIT University) in Melbourne. Courses included biochemistry, a major emphasis on anatomy and human physiology, x-ray, diagnosis, chiropractic adjusting techniques and patient care in the Institute’s public clinics.

“Each year,” continues Dr. Schutte, “the staff and I attend various seminars to keep up with the latest in research and newest developments in the chiropractic profession. That keeps our skills in top form.”  He has recently completed seminars in paediatric care, in chiropractic analysis and care of extremity problems such as shoulder, elbow, hand, TMJ, hip, knee, ankle and foot, and in treatment of adhesions between the spinal cord and the spinal column (Advanced Biostructural Correction). Dr Schutte is also a certified practitioner of Neuro-Emotional Technique (NET), which helps resolve long-standing health problems that have an emotional component.

Dr. Schutte has helped hundreds of patients regain their health during his years of practice since 1989, in Forster, Tumut, Holland, and, since 2002, at Canberra Chiropractic.

Dr Ben Asks some important questions of interest to Turner residents - Chiropractor Turner Dr Ben Asks...

How do you "catch" a cold?
Simply lower your resistance by avoiding the proper rest and exercise, eating lots of sugar and junk food, putting up with emotional stress and neglecting your nervous system by avoiding your chiropractor. You won't have to catch a cold because it will catch you!
What's a side effect?
It may sound like a bonus; something extra, but chiropractors know it should more accurately called an "unintended effect," and "unwanted effect" or in some cases an "adverse effect." A pill can't come close to matching your body's ability to create and deliver the essential compounds it needs. That's when it's important to make sure your nervous system is working correctly—the purpose of chiropractic care!
