The Chiropractic Assistants

I was in my early twenties when I first saw a chiropractor. I had never heard of chiropractic, but a friend was sure it could help with my stiff neck and headaches. It certainly did, and also with period pain and the sinus problems I got each winter. I have been a maintenance patient ever since, and have made sure our boys have benefited from chiropractic ever since they were a few weeks old.

Working in a chiropractic office is my ideal job – it is exciting to be a small part of the successes we see every day. I have been working at Canberra Chiropractic since the beginning of 2003. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, bushwalking, reading and going to the gym – and would love to do more travelling.

I have always been interested in “alternative” ways of getting healthy and staying well, but I didn’t know much about chiropractic before I joined the team at Canberra Chiropractic.

Since then, I’ve learned something new every day, and am beginning to experience the “chiropractic lifestyle” for myself.  I noticed changes right from my first adjustment, and I look forward to reaching my health and wellness goals.

I love meeting new people, and really enjoy the busy and happy atmosphere at Canberra Chiropractic.

When I’m not at work here, or studying for my Certificate Four in Business Administration at TAFE, I love to cook and spend time with my family and friends.  I hope one day to have more time for travel, reading and craft – but at the moment, there just aren’t enough hours in the day!

Dr Ben Asks some important questions of interest to Turner residents - Chiropractor Turner Dr Ben Asks...

How come medical doctors don't recommend chiropractic?
That's changing. Years of prejudice and bias are giving way to research showing the benefits of chiropractic care. As more and more Turner folks seek alternatives to drugs and surgery, more and more medical practitioners are referring their patients to chiropractors.
What does a chiropractic adjustment do?
Chiropractic adjustments give your spine a little "nudge" at the right place, right time and the right direction so your body can use that energy to "right" itself. With a schedule of consistent chiropractic visits, a new, healthier spinal pattern emerges.
