Tension type headache
Tension type headache (TTH) is the most common form of headache. It is
- defined as a pressing or tightening sensation,
- generally experienced on both sides of the head.
- not generally aggravated by routine activities and is of mild to moderate intensity.
- often accompanied by tenderness in the soft tissues of the head and neck, which can contribute to the pain.
At Canberra Chiropractic we use a multimodal approach that includes specific manual techniques to joints and muscles, gentle stretching and strengthening exercises, as well as providing advice on how to reduce the strain on the neck, upper back and jaw.
